July
I got another opportunity to create a table-scape for Kinder Surprises Antiques in Davidson, Sask. Erin thought a table setting in her canola field would be the perfect July theme, and what immediately came to mind was the full set of Royal Crown Derby Mikado china set she has in store currently. The blue and white contrasted perfectly with the bright yellow canola. We actually ended up making two separate table-scapes because we also have the most incredible punch bowl set in store and I couldn’t resist. Share which one you prefer!
Creating this table-scape fell under the category of exercise. Walking through the tall canola to place the table, all the items and getting the photos. It was a very humid and hot morning! Sweat, broken nail, dirty shoes. It was an adventure but dare I say; worth it.
Regal, whimsical, local. Attempting to draw on the affluent nature of the Royal Crown Derby china as well as the nature around us. Blending the two to create little world out in the field where you are momentarily transported.
